What is a Multi-Spindle Rotary Table?

Multi-spindle rotary tables that are installed on VMC machines are available with as many as 4 spindles as a 4th axis and also a 4th / 5th axis model. The 4th and 4th / 5th axis tables are either mounted with the spindle centerlines facing down the X axis or down the Y axis facing the operator (if the table is too large to mount the other orientation). These tables allow the operator to run multiple parts at one time.
